There’s a pretty great view of San Franciso from the bridge near my house. And it was absolutely breath taking on my way home the other night. I just had to pull over and get a shot of this.

God I love this city.

Email Campaign Manager

When an organization sends over 15 million emails a year, you need to make sure your staff are emailing the right people the right information at the right time. Otherwise you face the dangers of angry customers, getting marked as spam or worse blacklisted. And you don’t have a way of analyzing your data???

TechAmerica uses iContact to send emails to their contacts inside SalesForce. But unfortunately iContact does not have a robust audience generator to suit TechAmerica’s needs.

So I built a tool to enable staff to create email audiences based on SalesForce campaigns, committees or reports. With a few clicks of a button staff can now easily ensure their emails are going to the right users. They can also create HTML email using a WYSIWYG editor, edit a number of canned templates, or send plain text emails.

All the data is stored in SalesForce and ready to be sent via iContact. And because the data originates in SalesForce, our staff/executives can easily track and view all communication by many different options. Open rates have improved significantly. Spam and bounce backs have decreased.

I Can’t Stand the Rain

After six years in Pittsburgh, I have had more than enough rain for the rest of my life.

I now live in lovely California. The sunny side of the bay to be precise. But it still does rain here occasionally. Like the last 2 weeks. Lots and lots and lots of rain. We needed the rain pretty badly but wow, those were some serious storms last week.

This mix is the perfect soundtrack for those rainy days when you’re stuck inside and all you wanna do is curl back up in your bed and pull the covers over your head.

Full Moon Over the Bay

It’s been raining off and on for the last few days. Mostly on. But there was a break in the weather a few days ago when I just happened to be at Chad & Megu’s place up near Twin Peaks.

This is the last of five 30 second exposure shots I took. The wind kept blowing the camera around quite a bit so it was hard to get a good shot for the long exposure. But I finally managed to get a pretty nice shot of the full moon. And shooting star… ok no that’s actually a plane heading to SFO.

The Jealous Sound

The Jealous Sound opened for Sunny Day Real Estate’s reunion tour at the Fillmore. I don’t remember a thing about them now. I was too excited to see Sunny Day to really pay attention. But this picture of their singer/guitarist came out pretty good.

Oh and I know you’re jealous of me seeing S.D.R.E. They sounded amazing!
